Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were in immaculate condition, clean, and serviced efficiently, but they were full of mosquitoes. From reception to our room, the service was very accommodating with our kids. The location was beautiful for pictures and relaxing, although the dining was too expensive for a limited menu.
I was very pleased with the room at this hotel, even though it was as far from the reception as possible. However, I was disappointed to find worms crawling on the wall, possibly due to a gap between the wall and the wood fitting that allowed insects to enter. Despite this, the service provided by the staff, led by GM Sadira Nayager, was accommodating and competent. The location, while breathtaking with nature, had a few downsides, including the inconvenience of the car getting dirty due to a cloth cover and the lack of good nearby restaurants. The dining experience was not nice at all, with a high extra cost for the breakfast buffet. Additionally, the cleanliness and amenities of the facilities deserve praise.
The hotel is conveniently located near shops, with clean and spacious rooms that needed minor maintenance for optimal comfort. The level of customer service was friendly and helpful with various amenities available, offering a mix of convenience and luxury.
I found worms crawling on the wall and noticed a gap between the wall and wood fitting where insects seemed to be coming from during my stay. The rooms are old and require upgrading considering the rates charged, which was disappointing, and the distance from the reception was inconvenient. However, the service was super friendly and went out of their way to assist, especially with room allocation and preparing omelettes. The location was convenient for surrounding activities, including being close to shops, supermarkets, and the Game Reserve. The dining experience had a few hiccups with ordering, but they did offer the option to book a safari, which I highly recommend. Additionally, the pool area was extensive and provided excellent service. Overall, the facilities were decent but could use improvements for the price paid.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were comfortable, but unfortunately, they had not been checked for quite a few days as the white linen on the bed was full of gecko droppings. I did appreciate the variety of pillows provided, although I did encounter worms crawling on the wall, which was a bit off-putting. The room was spacious with two double beds and a large walk-in shower.
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The rooms have been revamped since our last visit a couple of years ago with nice furnishings and a comfortable bed, making them clean and very comfortable. However, there was a slight issue with the room not being prepared upon our arrival.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, but I did spot some worms crawling on the wall, which was a bit unsettling. The service was friendly and accommodating, although there could be improvements in maintaining the property. The location was beautiful and convenient for nature reserve activities, but the dining experience was not up to par, making it quite expensive.
Upon arrival, the rooms were neatly prepared, but the lack of landscaping made it feel stuffy with pesky mosquitoes. The frontline staff were very friendly, which helped offset the initial impression.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable for a relaxing night, but they were not 100% clean. The staff's warm and welcoming service made up for any shortcomings, as they arranged food according to my preferences and were very friendly and accommodating despite difficult conditions. The location, close to Hluhluwe, was convenient for my visit, but some areas might be warmer due to the air conditioning. The dining experience had its ups and downs with local cuisine and wonderful desserts but a repeating menu that was not worth the high price. The facilities were adequate but not outstanding.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms, while clean and neat, felt like they had not been ventilated recently, affecting the atmosphere. The service was accommodating, although there were some knowledge gaps about the area. The location between Hluhluwe Game Park and St Lucia Estuary was perfect for exploring. The dining experience was decent but could benefit from more variety. The facilities met my basic needs.
